More About Philly Wedding Saxophonist, SaxOnIt

Nils Mossblad has been working in the wedding and private event industry for over a decade. He grew up knowing and loving music after being inspired by his father, Grammy award-winning jazz musician Gunnar Mossblad. Nils started in wedding bands as a student at the University of North Texas where he majored in music performance and minored in music theory.

During this period Nils took an interest in the business side of the music and event industry and sought to become part of a company back in his hometown of Philadelphia. He found BVTLive where he started working part time and performing in wedding bands. He has since worked at BVTLive! for over 8 years, and gone on to cofound On It Productions, the sibling company of BVTLive! that specializes in DJ’s, DJ Hybrid, production enhancements, and all immersive entertainment.

In regards to Nils’ music style, he says, “One thing that I really try to focus on with all of my performances is enhancing and adding to the music in an artistic way while also taking the energy to the next level and really interacting with the crowd.”

In addition to his specialty in DJ Hybrid, Nils has many other musical offerings that he can provide. While he can perform solo with tracks for small events, Nils’ primary background is in Jazz and so will often perform with a live duo, trio, quartet, or even Quintet in pop, or  Jazz styles.

Hiring DJ Pat and SaxOnIt for our wedding was in my opinion the best decision we made. Planning a wedding was stressful except working with them! They were extremely professional and you can tell have this down to a T. The compliments came all night and following about how AMAZING both of them were. 10/10 I would recommend them to everyone in the PA/NJ/DE area.
