The Bachelor: Listen to Your Heart alum, Julia Rae, and now husband, Matt Lupido, made the exciting decision to choose BVTLive!’s award-winning band, Carnivále to perform their Philadelphia wedding day. Bride Julia Rae is best known for her presence on the Bachelor: Listen to Your Heart, but that’s not all she brings to the table. Acting, podcasting, golfing, singing, and running her own nonprofit, Singing at the Top of My Lungs which benefits musical programs in children’s hospitals, are just a few of her hobbies outside of her TV stardom. Her talents and passions are inspiring, and needless to say working with and getting to know Julia left quite the impact on our company,
Carnivále Band Performs Ceremony, Cocktail Hour, and Reception for Bachelor’s Wedding
Surrounded by friends and family, Julia and Matt celebrated their wedding day on New Years Eve 2024, ringing in 2025 with a bang. The celebration was held at the beautiful ONE North Broad in Philadelphia accompanied by an incredible team of Philadelphia wedding industry professionals.
After privately exchanging vows during their first look, the stunning Bride walked down the aisle in Corinthian Hall accompanied by Carnivále’s ceremony musicians. Chris Watson, Bachelor: Listen to Your Heart Winner, officiated the ceremony. He even performed a few special songs dedicated to the couple.
The celebration continued to the reception where the couple shared their first dance to Keith Urban’s ‘Without You’ performed by Carnivále’s 11-piece band. The rest of the night, Carnivále rocked the dancefloor, and even helped Julia pull of a special surprise performance.
Carnivále Helps Julia Rae Surprise Husband on Stage
After Julia made a dress change into a beautiful sparkling gown to bring in the New Year, she joined Carnivále on stage to surprise her now hubby Matt with a performance of Crazy in Love by Beyoncé! Carnivale, no stranger to this song and all of the classic and modern hits, was stoked to help pull this off for Matt and the venue of guests.
When Julia joined Carnivále on stage, everyone was shocked and amazed by the performance. She sang her heart out to her new husband and needless to say, got the dancefloor was packed.
