“THAT WAS THE BEST WEDDING BAND EVER!!!”

We’ve gotten pretty used to hearing that from everyone who attended our wedding. And it is exactly what we were looking for when it came to the most important part of our reception - the music. From the cocktail hour to the final song, the Strangers provided an atmosphere that made our night truly something to remember! We had such a wonderful experience with these guys, and gals during our wedding. The entire process from beginning to end was professional and laid back, all at the same time. We built such a wonderful rapport with Denny and felt so comfortable! When they gave us a huge selection of music to choose from, we had no idea what we would do, but somehow narrowed it down to 80 songs. Then after a casual final meeting, we gave our absolute favorites and left the rest up to them. That was the best decision we could have made! They used our suggestions and created the perfect playlist to get our guests moving, shaking and dancing way past the last song. The icing on the cake was running into them at the bar afterwards and feeling like they were part of our group! You truly cannot find a better band to make your day unforgettable.

It's been almost two months since our wedding and we are still getting raves about you guys! You were absolutely AMAZING. You kept everyone on the dance floor, kept the party going, and totally made our wedding night. Our wedding would not have been the same without The Strangers! We had so much fun dancing up a storm to your talent and loved that you played "Mony Mony" right on the spot after my uncle requested it! So many of our guests inquired about your contact information and commented on how the singers sounded just like the original artists!

Strangers were an absolute pleasure to work with, took all of our requests and concerns to heart, and gave us the best party and dancing atmosphere we have ever experienced! I know we'll be cutting a rug to Strangers again at friends and/or family's weddings!

What can I say... the Strangers were absolutely incredible at my daughter’s wedding last weekend. No one left… they danced till the band stopped performing. It was an incredible night and I knew it would be. I don’t think they ever took a break and if they did no one noticed. I received so many compliments all night long on the band and everyone wanted to know where I found them. Denny was wonderful as he always is… just kept everyone dancing!

The Old Mill: Melissa & Raghav – September 1, 2012

My husband and I just wanted to let you know how amazing Strangers was at our wedding at the Old Mill on 9/1/12. First of all, we booked them for ceremony music and chose somewhat obscure songs for the procession and recession. Rick put together beautiful acoustic versions of the songs. It was exactly what I pictured for my walk down the aisle. We never saw strangers live before the wedding. We chose them based on the video on your website. Let me just say, the video is great but not nearly as incredible as they are live! Denny met with us the week before and immediately upon meeting him we felt so at ease and comfortable. His laid back approach and confidence about the quality of the band got us so excited to see what they had to offer and we weren’t disappointed. Our guests were on the dance floor all night long. Nearly every single one of our 185 guests came up to me personally to tell me how great Strangers was. They played an awesome set list with tons of varieties and even surprised us with a great rendition of “Call Me Maybe!” During dinner, they played mellow music and guests were able to relax and have conversations with friends. There’s not a single thing we would change about the entertainment and music they provided. Thank you so much and we will be sure to recommend Strangers and BVTLive! to all our friends getting married!

Wow, wow, and wow again!   I can’t thank The Strangers enough for all of your time and talent that was donated to make our Sunny Days event the best ever.  We heard over and over again how much our guests enjoyed the music…having you there really made all the difference in the world.  The money raised at that event will go a long way in empowering victims of domestic violence and their children to become safe and self-sufficient.

 

And of course this wouldn’t have happened without the dedication of our wonderful volunteer Angie—helping us out time and again with our community outreach, transforming our children’s room with her incredible artwork…and now bringing this amazing band to us…. Angie, we love you SO much!

Hey Denny!

Thanks for making our wedding amazing. I cannot tell you how many compliments we've received about our band choice, and how many people told us that our wedding was one of the best they've attended (to quote a few, "one for the books" and "the one to top"). Strangers just did an absolutely amazing job of rocking the party, and we both had the BEST time dancing the night away with you guys. Also, Doug and I agreed that we think you guys KILLED "On the Floor" by Jennifer Lopez -- it was ridiculously awesome. In fact, everything you guys did was great and we will absolutely make it out to a public gig to see you play. Just keep us posted and we'll definitely be there!

Thanks again for everything.  Doug and I loved getting to know you during the wedding prep, and we couldn't be more grateful to you all for making our wedding the best!

It has been three weeks since our wedding and people are still talking about what a great time they had that day. All the credit goes to Strangers. We have received numerous compliments about the song selection, sound quality, and over all performance of the band, including statements like, "Wow, I've never seen so many people on a dance floor all night long."

The night started with cocktail hour, during which two members of Strangers played and provided appropriate background music for the setting. After cocktail hour it was time to introduce the wedding party, and we're glad we went with the band's advice to have everyone come out to the Blues Brothers theme song. Strangers learned our first dance song for us, and it sounded great. So did the parent dances. The dinner music that followed was also very good.

Then the party really started. We got married during a July heat wave. The temperature reached 100+ that day, and unfortunately, the air conditioning units couldn't compensate. Our 290 guests were hot...very hot. But once Strangers got everyone on the dance floor with "I Gotta Feeling," people were hooked on them. The dance floor was packed all night until the very end.   Our parents were ready to pay them for an additional hour, but we already had a scheduled after party. No one wanted the night to end, as shown by the crowd chanting "one more song, one more song." Strangers delivered with the classic "Livin on a Prayer."

Strangers played a good mix of older classic wedding dance songs and newer songs. That's what we told Denny and Rick when we met with them several weeks before the wedding.  Although we checked the songs on their play list that we liked, we did not give a specific set list because we trusted the band to play to the crowd and get a feel for the night. Another good decision. The song selections were a perfect fit. They also learned John Mellencamp's "Cherry Bomb" for the father of the bride. He gave it a big two thumbs up.

We highly recommend Strangers to anyone who is looking for a wedding band that will keep the guests dancing all night.  In addition to being an incredible band, they are also very nice people to work with. Their professionalism, timely communication and kindness made for a perfect and memorable wedding reception. We look forward seeing Strangers play again at at their next public show.

Jason and I would like to thank you for the AMAZING job you and the band did for our wedding on November 13, 2010 at the Montrose Mansion. You were absolutely fabulous and made our wedding reception more fun than we ever imagined. Our guests are still raving about how awesome the band was and people want to know how we found you. I am definitely recommending Strangers to other people. We had so much fun dancing and we didn't want the night to end. I have never seen a dance floor so packed at a wedding. Everyone was up dancing the entire time.

Thank you for learning the songs we requested especially our First Dance Song "You Are the Best Thing" and the Father/Daughter Dance Song "King of the World". They both sounded AMAZING!!!! We also loved our reception introduction..."Rock this Town". The band definitely "rocked the evening". Thank you for making our reception so fun and memorable and for for allowing me to sing the last song with the band. The Amanda and Amanda duo for "Livin on a Prayer" was excellent. You fulfilled my secret dream of singing with a band. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!!

My husband and I want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the fantastic job Strangers did on Saturday, November 13 performing at our daughter's wedding at the Montrose Mansion at the Villanova Conference Center. When we met with you, you promised that you would have our guests on the dance floor all night and you didn't disappoint. At one point during the evening, one of our cousins remarked that she has never seen empty tables at a reception, because everyone was dancing. Our daughter asked you to learn the music for their first dance and the father/daughter dance. Your group performed it flawlessly. She and her groom were so pleased. They even told us they were glad they had a band instead of a DJ. To have them say, Mom was right, was the greatest feeling in the world. We cannot thank you enough for what an amazing job you and your band did!  We knew we were going to get something good after hearing you at your showcase but you completely blew us out of the water on our wedding day.  We didn’t want to leave the dance floor all night! You definitely know how to keep a party moving while still giving us time to savor the entire event.  From the cocktail music to the final dance we were pleased with every song you played.  It certainly looked like everyone else was pleased too!  The dance floor was always packed. I can't thank you and STRANGERS enough for making our perfect day even more fabulous!!  Eric and I had such an amazing time and wish we could do it again.  The band was fantastic and our friends and family were just as thrilled by your performance as we were.  It was so great to see how many people danced and I loved looking at the crowd to see how much fun everyone was having.  I also learned that a few "non-dancers" found their way to the dance floor as well!  I believe that is a true indication as to how great you are as a band.

We have received such positive feedback from our guests.  We got a lot of "this was the best wedding we have ever been to" and "where did you find STRANGERS?"
